T-Stats is being rolled out across the North East region, with NewcastleGateshead Initiative, Visit County Durham, Visit Northumberland, and South Tyneside Council all combining to reap the benefits of the system.
Acorn was originally contracted by NewcastleGateshead Initiative to install T-Stats to track the visitor economy, however interest in the benefits of the system has now expanded across the North East.
T-Stats is being used to collect both daily and monthly accommodation statistics, track visits to attractions in the region, and monitor a range of other indicators that are important measures of tourism, including tourism information centre footfall, airport passengers, volume and value data, car parking, festivals and events, and the weather.
Ian Thomas, Research Manager at NGI says “T-Stats is blowing people away. They love it and I think of all things, Tracker is the winner – the contextual data at a glance is truly exciting for them. Benchmarking is key too, as is the ability to export data.”
