Attracting investment with good data

In recent months, some of our T-Stats partners have been telling us about how the system has helped attract inward investment to their destinations. These experiences range from large-scale developments through to existing operators using T-Stats to expand and improve their business models. Here are two examples, one from Newcastle and the other from rural Cotswolds.

crowneThe Clouston Group has recently invested £20 million in a Newcastle city centre development, creating the Crowne Plaza Hotel with 251 rooms, restaurant, bar, gym and function rooms. The Clouston Group needed robust data to raise finance for this development, and state T-Stats as being a critical building block in this process.

Alan Schofield, Finance Directorof the Clouston Group found that T-Stats gave him: exceptional data showing key trends of room occupancy, average room rates, and other local visitor data to enable forecasting of trading performance.

Steve Gardner-Collins, Group Sales and Marketing Manager says: “During our budgeting in 2017 for 2018 we were able to compare area statistics to measure our own performance and plan for the following year. T-Stats is a great tool to analyse trends. We recognise that our relationship with T-Stats is vital to our business and the reports we receive give a good indication of what is happening in our market and across the country.”

We’d love to hear from other T-Stats users - how they are using the system, and what benefits it has brought them.
